Who Are We?

Halo Launcher was built by two developers who got tired of clunky, slow launchers and wanted to perfect their own gameplay experience. Our goal is simple: make the launcher invisible. Open it and play — nothing more. A project shaped by community feedback and an obsessive attention to detail.

Is Halo Launcher really free?

Yes — the launcher is completely free. No ads, no paywalled performance, nothing essential locked away. If you'd like to support development, you can back us on Patreon — as a thank-you, supporters unlock a few cosmetic extras like custom accent colours, custom backgrounds and animated GIF icons.

Is it safe to download?

Yes. Every installer is built and signed by us — the download button on this site always fetches the latest official build. Halo uses the official Microsoft sign-in and never stores your password. No bundled extras, no telemetry, nothing running behind your back.

What do I need to run it?

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), 4 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended) and a Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition. Java is downloaded automatically if it isn't detected — the installer sets everything up in seconds.

Which mod loaders are supported?

Vanilla, Fabric, Forge and NeoForge — side by side. Every instance is fully isolated, and the built-in Modrinth & CurseForge browser installs mods, shaders, resource packs and full modpacks with automatic dependency handling.

How do updates work?

The launcher checks for new releases automatically and updates itself with a single click — no reinstalling, no lost settings. Your instances and mods stay exactly as you left them.
